Picture Composition

Canoeing is my life-long dream. I dreamt of canoeing with my best friend John and no matter how I pleaded with my mother, all she would say was, "Don't keep thinking of canoeing, show me your good grades first." Fron then on, I worked extra hard to achieve good grades to fufill my dream. As per normal, John and I would go to school together but that day, I kept wondering about getting good grades and fulfilling my dream. That day was the day I get back my exam papers.
My teacher, Miss Yun, walked into the class with a black face. This time, my hope was gone. I thought to myself "What if I fail my exam? I had really tried very hard!" Miss Yun said "Class, I am very happy with your performance this time." Suddenly, my face litted up. My hope is back again. Miss Yun continued, "This time, there is one pupil whom scored 96 marks for the test and he is ... Mark!" I could not believe my ears. I thought "Is it me? Is it really me? I scored 96!"
I walked home with a joyful mood. I would be canoeing, that's why! John said "Congratuations, you scored so well." I said "You scored well too, you got 94." I continued "Cheer up, buddy! You also wanted to go canoeing. Come on!" When I reached home, I said "Mum, guess how much I get for my exam?" My mum said "Surely very badly. Show me before I scold you." I said "Here you go!" My mother brust out into laughter when she saw my marks. I continued "Mum, you said ..." Mum said "Sure, make it this Saturday." I said "Thanks, Mum!"
It finally reached Saturday. The clock seemed to crawl. I had been waiting for this day for five years. Firstly, John and I picked one canoe and we sat on it to begin our journey. The intructor asked us to put on our life jacket but we were too excited so we put our life jacket beside us and began our journey. As we had decided, John would paddle and I would do nothing. I kept warning John to paddle slowly but he just would not listen. The unsuspecting John hit a rock and fall right down the slope. As John knew how to swim, he swam ashore and ran away. As for me, I struggled and held onto the side of the canoe. I pushed and I pushed and I finally got up the canoe. I paddled ashore and found my way home. I told my family members what had happened and on the following Monday, I ignored John and I only said to him "A friend in need is a friend indeed."
